The Korea Innovation Foundation donates PCs to support the digitally vulnerable - Members of INNOPOLIS Daedeok, Practice sharing with social enterprises - |
□ The Korea Innovation Foundation (president Yang Sung Kang, hereinafter "Foundation") announced on the 24th that it donated 20 PCs worth about 10 million won to the Happiness Nuri Foundation in Yuseong-gu, Daejeon, to support online education for the digital vulnerable who are suffering from COVID-19 with INNOPOLIS Daedeok Venture Association (hereinafter "Venture Association") and People &Com Inc., a social enterprise
ㅇ The Foundation signed a business agreement with the Daedeok Innopolis Venture Association and People &com, a social enterprise, to establish a platform to support the digital vulnerable last August, and this time, it donated "Sharing Love PC." The donations will be delivered to the digital vulnerable living in Yuseong-gu.
□ Above all, this donation activity is significant in that the power of INNOPOLIS Daedeok members has been gathered. Companies and institutions within INNOPOLIS Daedeok collected used ICT equipment that had expired and then repaired and recycled them through People &Com, a social enterprise, to make donations.
ㅇ People&Com Inc. is a social enterprise that recycles used computers and makes them into new computers. People &com's products contribute to environmental protection and create jobs for multi-cultural families suffering from economic difficulties.
□ Yang Sung-Kwang, president of the Foundation, said, “I hope that it will be a small but great help to students who are in a tougher environment during difficult times, and we will continue to provide various sharing to diverse, vulnerable groups in need of protection.”
