- INNOPOLIS Daegu prepares a foothold for investment in promising startups and global expansion -
INNOPOLIS Daegu of the INNOPOLIS Foundation (Director Young-Hwan Oh, hereinafter ‘INNOPOLIS Daegu’) announced that the “INNOPOLIS Daegu Domestic Investment League” for startups in Innopolis Campus and Daegu-area startups and the “INNOPOLIS Daegu Global Investment League” for companies preparing to enter the global market will be held online at the same time on this January 20th.
INNOPOLIS Daegu operates a “technology finance platform” to attract investment from promising local companies and enter the global market, and running various investment and growth support programs, including corporate IR, pitching consulting, and connection with domestic and foreign investors.
It focuses on continuous networking with companies and domestic and foreign investors for local companies that lack the infrastructure to attract investment compared to the metropolitan area.
In addition to the regular IR demo day, it strives to establish continuous investment connections by promoting 1:1 meetings with domestic and foreign investors.
In this global investment league, five companies with excellent overseas expansion potential are selected. Through programs such as global pitch deck preparation, design, and pitching skill consulting, the participating companies' ability to attract overseas investment was strengthened, and finally, corporate IR will proceed online.
In the global investment league, five overseas judges will participate, including Sarah Song (USA), who is actively working as an advisor and judge at Y-Combinator, 500 startups, Snapchat Yellow Accelerator, Alchmist Accelerator, etc. and Michelle Irawan (Skystar Capital, Indonesia), a VC in Indonesia, a blue ocean of startups.
In the domestic investment league, eight promising early start-ups such as ICT, bio-health, and POST-Corona fields will conduct IR, and 20 related investment institutions such as Bogwang Startup Investment Co., Ltd. and Stepping Stone Angel Club will join online.
