INNOPOLIS Foundation (Director: Yang Seong-Gwang) and Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST, President: Shin Sung-chul) were selected as the organizations that showed the best public relations competence in Daeduk INNOPOLIS this year.
Daeduk INNOPOLIS press group announced that it selected INNOPOLIS Foundation and KAIST as the best research institute of '2018 Daeduk INNOPOLIS Promotion Grand-Prix
Daeduk INNOPOLIS Promotion Grand-prix is the prize granted by 15 media organizations belonging to the INNOPOLIS press group to select the leading research institute to popularize and activate science & technology every year.
The INNOPOLIS Foundation, which won the prestigious award, was evaluated to have carefully promoted various achievements and activities created in INNOPOLIS throughout the country. INNOPOLIS, which is growing more and more to show the progress of INNOPOLIS such as technology commercialization excellence, establishment of global platform for overseas market, communication of innovation subject, network operation of technology commercialization.
Kim In-shin, the manager of Business management office of INNOPOLIS Foundation, said, "This year, the newly appointed head of the agency has made a lot of publicity with emphasis on communication, and thanks to this, I have received a meaningful prize." KAIST has been recognized for its efforts to educate students about the many technologies, events and policies that are born in schools. It distributed 164 press releases, 30% more than last year. In addition, it presented the main policies and events for the implementation of the 'Vision 2031 Proclamation Ceremony, AI World Cup and other' Global Value Creating Leading Universities'. This year, it has already won the award of Ministry of Science and ICT’s Best Practice Case for Empathy, and promotion award of Korea Science Reporter Association.
"We received an honorable award that we will be able to spend a warm year," said Doo Won-Soo, head of Public Relations Department of KAIST. "We will try to introduce more KAIST researchers who are engaged in research day and night", he added.
