INNOPOLIS businesses, taking center stage at China International Medical Device Autumn Exhibition 2017

Flocked by Chinese, overseas buyers and partners

□ INNOPOLIS Foundation supported overseas expansion of excellent medical device companies by setting up common booth in CMEF Autumn 2017 held from last 29th to 1st.

ㅇ This is the first international exhibition which the foundation attended to support INNOPOLIS businesses in medical device and BT industry as a part of "international marketing support project" conducted by the foundation to support overseas market expansion of the businesses.

* CMEF(China International Medical Equipment Fair) : Medical device exhibition held twice a year(Shanghai, China in spring season, Shenzhen, Kunming, China in autumn season. It is top 4 international medical device exhibition which 120 thousand visitors visit from about 100 countries)

□ There were total 5 companies exhibiting their products including the INNOPOLIS research institute spin-off company based on public technology at the common booth ran by the foundation. Buyers from various countries including China and partners seeking business matching visited common booth during the exhibition and showed significant interest to superior technology and products of the companies.

□ Gene System Co., Ltd, the research institute owning 'gene diagnosis technology' based on PCR showed off its superhigh PCR system, the GENECHECKER® at this exhibition.

ㅇ With the cooperation with KFDA, Gene System Co., Ltd, had discussions with potential Chinese partners about various business opportunity to advance to Chinese medical diagnosis market based on the accumulated filed genetic test technology.

ㅇ CEO Seo You Jin of Gene System Co., Ltd, said "we experienced the growth potential and scale of Chinese market. Through realistic business discussion with promising buyers of targeted markets, we had great chance to make a rough sketch for long-term Chinese business."

□ OBE LAB Co.,Ltd, the INNOPOLIS company entered portable high-resolution near-infrared ray based neuro-imaging device "NIRSIT" for the first time in Korea. This product enables measuring of oxygen saturation changes at anytime anywhere for easy and convenient brain condition monitoring which received attention from brain scientists, researchers and medical staffs.

ㅇ Vice president Yoon Han Seok of OBE LAB Co.,Ltd said "the exhibition was a good chance to understand the Chinese medical market in real, and we expect future achievement based on consistent cooperation with buyers and partners we met during the exhibition."

□ There were achievements which are expected to lead to sales at this exhibition.

ㅇ Gene System Co., Ltd demonstrated products in front of Genenode, the molecular diagnosis kit manufacturer for man‧animal diseases from Beijing, Norman, the immune diagnosis expertise business from Nanjing and other 30 Chinese companies and confirmed its superior technology. For next 1 year, the company will proceed 1.5 million dollar export deals, and it is expected to secure sale positions in 3 major regions of China(Northern, Eastern, Southern China).

□ Future strategy manager Lee Gang Joon of the foundation said "the foundation will support exhibition participation in various fields such as integrated industrial exhibition including IT and medical device to play the role as supporter helping overseas advance of INNOPOLIS businesses."
