Hosted 2017 INNOPOLIS technology exhibition

Promoted commercialization, foundation 

and growth of company through public technology

□ 「2017 INNOPOLIS Technology Exhibition」, hosted by Ministry of Science and ICT and sponsored by INNOPOLIS Foundation is held at Daejeon Convention Center(DCC) exhibition hall on October 17~18(Tuesday~Wednesday).

ㅇ This exhibition was prepared to exhibit the public technology commercialization achievements created by INNOPOLIS and to promote high quality job creation based on science technology through promoting new technical transfer and business foundation.

□ INNOPOLIS is an area structure for local economy vitalization through research and commercialization of public research institutions. Starting with Daedeok in 2005, there are 5 INNOPOLIS, where total 4541 companies and institutions are located as of 2015 to actively engage in industrial, academic and research projects.

ㅇ INNOPOLIS has been growing strongly. The sales figure of companies within INNOPOLIS has increased 17.2 times, and number of companies moving to INNOPOLIS increased 6.3 times through various policies such as transfer of government's public technology, follow-up research development, commercialization consulting and tax reduction benefits.

□ This INNOPOLIS exhibition consists of exhibition of outstanding technology, technical transfer demonstration, technology commercialization investment presentation(IR), business support consulting for two days.

ㅇ In outstanding technology exhibition, there will be 180 promising technology for commercialization owned by 19 public research institutions, and products of 40 promising companies that succeeded in public technology commercialization.

ㅇ Maeum Golf Co.,Ltd which was recently merged as subsidiary of Kakao Games Co.,Ltd will exhibit experience golf simulation program, Jeyun Medical Co.,Ltd will exhibit smart medicine cabinet, the successful model of Morocco tuberculous elimination project, and Daegeon Tech Co.,Ltd, the high-precision 3D printer manufacturer will run 3D printer demonstration zone.

□ In technical transfer demonstration, technical developers from total 7 college, research institutions such as KAIST will participate and present 26 promising technologies.

ㅇ There will be various technologies that could create new added value and jobs such as micro-expression recognition method and device based on deep learning analysis(KAIST), autonomous auxiliary running device(Korea Aerospace Research Institute), disaster damage prediction method using big data(Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information).

□ At the technology commercialization investment presentation(IR),

there will be a presentation about major business items and vision of 3 companies to provide an opportunity for investment attraction of start-up businesses in INNOPOLIS, Q&A session about successful business strategy of domestic investors, and presentation about successful KOSDAQ market listing strategy by Korea Exchange.

□ The business support consulting with experts from various filed such as legal, accounting, R&D, patent and technical commercialization will help the start-up businesses to overcome difficulties of the beginning step. It is expected to provide in-depth consulting.

□ Also, in "Research lab job talk concert', it will provide information about technical commercialization and company support program of INNOPOLIS development project for 'research based high-quality research lab job creation' and information about employment of science technology industry, and will run employment consulting for job applicants.
