To hold ordinary IR for vitalizing the corporate investment such as Institute Company in R&D Special Zone The Ministry of Science & ICT (Minister: Yoo Youngmin) and R&D Special Zone Promotion Foundation (Acting Director: Kim Yongwook, “Special Zone Promotion Foundation”) held ⌜R&D Special Zone IR⌟ at The Moim (Seoul) from 29th August. * IR (Investor Relation): An event where the company provides the information such as the business result, future plan and potential growth to the investors in order to attract the investment fund Meantime, the Ministry of Science & ICT and Special Zone Promotion Foundation have held the events such as Demo Day to attract the investments for the companies such as Institute Company in the Special Zone by each R&D Special Zone of Daeduk, Gwangju, Daegu, Busan and Jeonbuk, but From this year on, they are going to hold the same integrating in the ordinary IR in the capital area where the investors are concentrated in order to enhance the vitalization of investment to the companies in the Special Zone. IR events of R&D Special Zone will be held regularly from August till the year end and the start-up ventures such as Institute Company are major participants. 5 companies out of the companies such as Institute Company who implement the commercialization of joint R&D outcome will participate in IR today. The companies participated in IR directly met the investors and presented their main business items and vision and intended to attract the preliminary investment through active Q&A for the success strategy and future plan of the companies, and The investors had an opportunity to meet the business items of the companies in the Special Zone. Lee Jongjo, CEO of Geumgang E&G Co., Ltd, one of the participants presented their aspiration saying, “As the interest in New & Renewable Energy increases, we will fastly occupy the market securing the competitiveness based on Asian market through total solution of photovoltaic generation” The participants in this IR were mainly startup ventures out of regional promising companies for public technical commercialization and have been in the blind spot of investment since the investment risk was big and it took long time to identify the investment outcome. It is expected to have a good opportunity to eliminate the situations of the investment concentrated in the capital area for general venture funds and insufficient investment for the startup ventures and to implement the qualitative growth of companies. In addition, the Ministry of Science & ICT and Special Zone Promotion Foundation have a plan to announce ‘2 Phase Promotion Strategy of Institute Company’ for qualitative growth of Institute Company in this event. |
