INNOPOLIS Foundation-Signed a business agreement with IBS (Institute for Basic Science)

- Expansion of science business through strengthening commercialization linkage

of basic research results -

 

INNOPOLIS Foundation (Chairperson, Yang Seong Kwang, hereinafter "Foundation") signed a MOU with the Institute for Basic Science (Director Kim Du-chul, hereinafter referred to as "IBS") for commercialization of basic research results.

 

The main contents of the agreement were: to discover superior technologies with high potential for commercialization among IBS research results, to evaluate technical value of technologies to be commercialized, to carry out technology marketing such as technology briefing sessions to identify demanding companies, to negotiate technology transfer between IBS and demanding companies, to exchange information and promote for technology transfer and commercialization.

 

The Foundation and IBS will establish a commercialization cooperation system of basic research results through this agreement and do utmost to mutual cooperation for the sharing the basic research results and the achievement of commercialization results.

 

The IBS will concentrate on creation of excellent performance, and the Foundation will plan projects that are specific to basic research achievements, and will cooperate with IBS to identify promising technologies, transfer basic research results, and achieve commercialization results.

 

In particular, the Foundation plans to launch a variety of new projects to spread basic research results to operate in the second half of 18.

 

For example: Cooperate with IBS to find out promising technology for commercialization and make BM for bi-directional technology for linking demanding enterprises, Exchange of scientific and technological cooperation among core industries for scientific belt commercialization and support customized commercialization business of demanding companies, Promote projects that support following researches on technologies that are difficult to commercialize.

 

 

Chairperson, Yang Seong Kwang urged that we will do our utmost to ensure that the IBS patent achievement, which is generated at an annual growth rate of 240%, will spread to special zones and functional districts through the use of the" Customer-centered technology finding platform business "
