Korea Innovation Foundation was initiated in 1973 as Daedeok Research Complex, incorporating dispersed R&D resources.
Daedeok Research Complex was scaled up to Daedeok INNOPOLIS in 2005 by realizing the research results and commercialization of government-funded research institutes and large-scale research institutes.
Since then, five Special Zones(total five INNOPOLISes) had been designated, including Daedeok, Gwangju, Daegu, Busan and Jeonbuk, and have been continuously changing and developing by the needs of the times. We are now in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, represented by superintelligence and hyperconnectivity, and standing in front of a bigger change ever happened in history.
Facing these changes, Korea Innovation Foundation is doing its best to create a technology ecosystem of virtuous cycle that smoothly supplies outstanding individuals and technologies to companies leading the global market. To do this, with the cooperation of Industry-University-Institute-Government, we will build up network to support the growth of technology start-ups and small-and medium-sized businesses, and make it as the basis of innovative growth and industrial development
