Personal information processing policy on the foundation's representative website

In accordance with Article 30 of the Personal Information Protection Act (Formulation and Disclosure of Privacy Policy), the R&D Special District Foundation has the following personal information processing policies to protect users' personal information and smoothly handle users' grievances.

1. Purpose of processing personal information

The R&D Special Zone Promotion Foundation processes personal information for the following purposes. The personal information processed will not be used for any purpose other than the following purposes, and if the purpose of use is changed, necessary measures will be implemented, such as obtaining separate consent under Article 18 of the Privacy Act.


  • Complaint handling
    • t handles personal information for the purpose of handling complaints related to personal information such as reading personal information, correcting and deleting personal information, and requesting suspension of personal information processing.
2. Collection, processing, and retention period of personal information
  • The R&D Special Zone Promotion Foundation processes and holds personal information within the period of personal information retention and use under the Act or the period of personal information collection by the information subject.
  • The major personal information files collected and held by the R&D Special Zone Promotion Foundation are as follows.

  • Information automatically collected and stored when using the website The following information can be collected and stored automatically for statistical analysis to improve and supplement the website and smooth communication between users and websites.
    • - The domain name of the user's Internet server and the address of the website that has been rough when visiting our homepage, the date and time of visit, etc.
      - User's browser type and OS
  • Information retention under relevant statutes
    • If it is necessary to preserve it under the provisions of the relevant statutes, the membership information shall be kept for a certain period prescribed by the relevant statutes. In this case, the information you keep is used only for the purpose of keeping it.
  • Our foundation will try to ensure that our rights and interests are not infringed by processing our personal information legally and appropriately in accordance with the relevant laws. However, please note that it may be partially disclosed according to the relevant laws and regulations.
3. Provision of personal information to third parties
  • Our foundation provides personal information to third parties only if it falls under Articles 17 and 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act, such as consent of the information subject and special provisions of the Act. In this case, we will notify the third party's personal information provision in the notice.
  • Our foundation provides personal information to third parties as follows.
    • Survey of customer satisfaction in public institutions

    · To be provided: A company subject to a public institution customer satisfaction survey (private)
    · Purpose of provision: Conducting a survey on those who have experienced the services of the R&D Special Zone Promotion Foundation for customer satisfaction survey of public institutions.
    · Items of personal information provided: name of business, customer name (corporation), name, gender, age group (if necessary), position, phone number, address, etc.
    · Personal information retention and use period: Until the customer satisfaction survey of public institutions is completed
    · Legal basis for the provision of personal information to third parties: Article 13 (2) of the Act on the Operation of Public Institutions and Article 17 (3) of the Enforcement Decree of the same Act;
    · You may refuse consent to provide personal information to third parties, and if you refuse, you may not be able to provide customer satisfaction research services to public institutions.

  • No details of use or provision of the Foundation other than for personal information purposes;
  • Restrictions on the use and provision of personal information Other than the purpose

    Personal information The R&D Special Zone Promotion Foundation collects and holds personal information strictly restricts the use and provision of personal information other than the purpose. Article 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act (restrictions on the use and provision of personal information other than the purpose of personal information) stipulates that:

    • In the case of obtaining separate consent from the information subject;
    • In the case of special provisions in other laws
    • Where the information subject or his/her legal representative is unable to express his/her intention or is unable to obtain prior consent due to unknown address, etc. and is clearly deemed necessary for the urgent interests of the information subject or third party;
    • Where personal information is provided in a form that is not recognizable to a particular individual as necessary for the purpose of statistical preparation, academic research, etc.;
    • Where personal information cannot be used for any purpose other than the purpose or provided to a third party, and where it has been deliberated and resolved by the Protection Committee;
    • Where necessary for the implementation of treaties or other international agreements to be provided to foreign governments or international organizations;
    • Where necessary for the investigation of crimes and the filing and maintenance of an indictment;
    • Where necessary for the performance of the court's judicial affairs;
    • Where necessary for the execution of sentences, custody, and disposition of protection;
4. Consignment of personal information
  • When the processing of personal information managed by the Foundation is entrusted to a maintenance company or other specialized institution, it is managed and supervised in accordance with Article 26 of the Personal Information Protection Act (restricted processing of personal information under entrustment of duties).
  • The status of personal information entrusted by the R&D Special Zone Promotion Foundation based on statutes and other individual laws is as follows.

5. Matters concerning the rights and obligations of the information subject and legal representative and the method of exercise thereof
  • Pursuant to Article 4 of the Privacy Act (the right of an information subject), an information subject has the following rights in relation to the processing of his or her personal information:
    • Right to be provided with information on the processing of personal information
    • The right to select and determine whether or not to agree to the processing of personal information, the scope of consent, etc.;
    • The right to check whether personal information is processed or not and access personal information
    • Right to request suspension, correction, deletion, and destruction of personal information
    • The right to receive relief from damages caused by the processing of personal information in a prompt and fair manner;
    • Liability for damages
  • For children under 14 years of age, a legal representative may have the right to inquire or modify the child's personal information, withdraw consent to collect and use it.
    * In the case of the Foundation, personal information of children under 14 years of age is not collected or used.
  • Access to personal information

    Personal information files held by the Special Research and Development Zone Promotion Foundation for Personal Information may be requested only by oneself as prescribed by the Personal Information Protection Act and related statutes, and the procedure for request is as follows.

    Provided, That the following matters may be restricted under Article 35 (Reading Personal Information) (4) of the Act:

    • Where perusal is prohibited or restricted by law;
    • Where there is a possibility of harming another person's life or body or unfairly infringing on another person's property and other interests;
    • Where a public institution causes a significant disruption when performing any of the following duties:
      • duties concerning the imposition, collection, or refund of taxes;
      • Affairs concerning the evaluation of grades or the selection of admission in schools of various levels under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, lifelong educational facilities under the Lifelong Education Act, and other higher educational institutions established under other Acts;
      • Examination of educational background, function and employment, and examination of qualifications;
      • Affairs related to ongoing evaluation or judgment on the calculation of compensation and benefits, etc.;
      • Affairs related to audits and investigations in accordance with other laws
  • Correction, deletion, and suspension of processing of personal information

    An information subject who has accessed his or her personal information may request the personal information processor to correct, delete, or suspend the processing of the personal information. However, if the personal information is specified as the object of collection in other statutes, it cannot be requested to delete it. The procedure for requesting correction, deletion, or suspension of processing is as follows.

7. Procedures and methods for destroying personal information

In principle, the personal information of the user shall be destroyed without delay when the purpose of collecting and using personal information is achieved. The procedure and method of destroying personal information of our foundation are as follows.

  • Destruction procedure
    • Information entered by users for membership, etc. shall be destroyed without delay in accordance with internal policies and other related laws and regulations (see retention and use period). Personal information is not used for any purpose other than being retained unless it is by law.
  • How to destroy it.
    • The personal information printed on the paper is shredded with a grinder or destroyed by incineration. Personal information stored in the form of an electronic file is deleted using a technical method that cannot play the recording.

  • The following information may be collected and stored automatically for the purpose of analyzing notifications for the improvement and supplementation of the website and smooth communication between users and websites.
    • User's Internet server domain name, user's record (cookies), date and time of visit, browser type, OS, etc.
  • The user has the option of installing cookies. Therefore, users can set options in their web browser to allow all cookies, confirm each time they are saved, or refuse to save all cookies.
  • However, if you refuse to install cookies, you may find it inconvenient to use the web and have difficulty using some services.
9. Measures to ensure the safety of personal information

Our foundation is looking for the following technical and administrative measures to ensure safety so that personal information is not lost, stolen, leaked, tampered with or damaged in handling users' personal information.

  • Password encryption member's password is encrypted, stored, and managed, so only you know it, and you can check and change personal information only by yourself who knows the password.
  • Countermeasures against hacking, etc.

    Our foundation is doing its best to prevent members' personal information from being leaked or damaged by hacking or computer viruses. In case of personal information damage, data is backed up frequently, and personal information or data is prevented from being leaked or damaged by using the latest vaccine program, and personal information can be safely transmitted on the network through cryptographic communication. We also use intrusion prevention systems to control unauthorized access from outside, and try to have all other technological devices available to secure security systematically.

  • Minimization and training of handling staff

    We regularly update our foundation's personal information handling staff by granting them separate passwords, and we always emphasize compliance with the R&D Special Zone Promotion Foundation's personal information handling policy through occasional training.

  • Operation of a personal information protection organization

    Our foundation frequently checks the implementation of the personal information handling policy and compliance of the person in charge so that if a problem is found, it can be corrected and corrected immediately. However, any personal information such as user ID and password is leaked due to carelessness of the user or problems on the Internet shall not be held responsible.

    If you find that your rights and interests may be violated by the collection, use, provision, entrustment of personal information that is not based on the law, or the possibility of personal information leakage, you can report it in the following ways:

  • How to remedy rights violations Personal information entities can apply for dispute resolution or consultation with the Personal Information Dispute Mediation Committee, the Korea Internet Center, and the Personal Information Infringement Report Center.In addition, a person who has violated his/her rights or interests due to disposition or irregularities conducted by the head of a public institution may request an administrative trial as prescribed by the Administrative Appeals Act.

  • The information subject may request the perusal of personal information under Article 35 of the Personal Information Protection Act.

  • Provided, That the request for perusal of personal information may be limited to the following pursuant to Article 35 (5) of the Personal Information Protection Act:
    • Where perusal is prohibited or restricted by law;
    • Where there is a possibility of harming other people's lives and bodies or unfairly infringing on other people's property and other interests;
    • Where a public institution causes a significant disruption when performing any of the following duties:
