International Cooperation

The Korea Innovation Foundation has a full membership in the IASP (International Association of Science Park and Areas of Innovation) and ASPA (Asian Science Park Association). Based on the strong cooperation network with science parks worldwide, we are supporting companies based in Korea Innovation Foundation to extend their business abroad.

We put our effort into strengthening the competitiveness of Korea Innovation Foundation as an innovative cluster by networking through various exchange activities with overseas science parks.

  • Transferring K-STP model to developing countries

Project to support global technology to business platform
  • Discovering the overseas need for conversion of technology to business and its upgrade
  • Discovering Korea Innovation Foundation businesses, diagnosing and analyzing global advancement competences, developing business models and providing consulting on it
  • Providing business opportunities and supporting contract process solution for converting overseas technology to business

Expansion of Global Cooperation

We support companies entering into emerging market in response to the demand of INNOPOLIS companies by utilizing the INNOPOLIS networks. Korea Innovation Foundation also conduct Korean style Science Technology Park(K-STP) Training program for the experts that are willing to develop STP in their home country(Network: 71 countries, 451 Alumni).

Implemented 21-22th Online K-STP Training (Sep.~Nov. 2021, Jan-Mar 2022)
  • 21st K-STP Training programs for overseas STP and public officials from 15 countries with 29 people (8 global cooperation cases discovered)
  • 22st K-STP Training programs for overseas STP and public officials from 12 countries with 35 people (5 global cooperation cases discovered)
MOU signed between Korea Innovation Foundation and Seoul National University Global R&DB center (December. 2021)
  • Co-organizing the “Seminar on Emerging Technologies” with international students from foreign public officials residing in Korea (21 participants from 17 countries)
MOU signed between Korea Innovation Foundation and Electronic Research Institute from Egypt (September. 2021)
  • Supporting the development of STPERI through the 2021-22 training program (8 officials from ERI)
Creating a network with International Association of Science Parks (IASP) and overseas partners
  • Contributing to creating international business opportunities by continuously providing Korea Innovation Foundation Research Institute Spin-off Company with the information on the global business run by worldwide science and technology innovation organizations.
