RAON The RAON, South Korea’s major asset for world-class basic science research, accelerates ions of any elements heavier than hydrogen close to the speed of light.
The Central District featured the Institute for Basic Science (IBS) and the Korean version of heavy-ion accelerator 'RAON,' consists of four different clusters focusing respectively on big science, high-tech industries, bio-healthcare, and ICT.
The functional district is an area to conduct applied research, development research, commercialization, etc. in association with the central district.
