“Korea Innovation Foundation won the Presidential Citation in the Human Resources Development category of the National Quality Innovation Award”

- In recognition of excellence in Human Resources Development at the 47th National Quality Management Competition

 

Korea Innovation Foundation (President Byeong-Sam Kang, hereinafter referred to as ‘INNOPOLIS’) announced that it had received the Presidential Citation in the Human Resources Development sector of the National Quality Innovation Award at the 47th National Quality Management Competition held at the COEX Auditorium in Seoul on November 8 (Mon) at 15:00.

    

Korea Innovation Foundation, as for major achievements, has been recognized for excellence in the overall human resources field, including The will of the head of the institution to promote human resource development, A job-based recruitment system specialized for the institution and inclusive talent recruitment, Expanding the openness of HR management, Conversion of non-regular workers to regular workers and improvement of treatment, Operation of a learning system that fosters experts in each job field, Creating a culture for work-family balance, etc.

 

To achieve the unique mission of ‘contributing to the development of the national economy by fostering the innovative ecosystem of INNOPOLIS and promoting the commercialization of public technologies,’ the head of the institution established the HR vision of ‘cultivating creative and convergence talents for a leap forward as an institution specializing in technology commercialization and the ideal of talent based on the core values of the institution: professionalism, innovation, win-win/cooperation, and transparency/safety, and actively promoted organizational management and personnel management by reflecting core values in recruitment, performance evaluation, and education and training.

 

While continuously upgrading the recruitment tools for job-customized recruitment, it has taken the lead in inclusive talent recruitment for the past three years (2018-2020). Among the recruits, 93% are youth, 67.8% non-metropolitan talent, and 47.7% female. In terms of hiring veterans and the disabled, efforts were made to support those eligible for employment applicants substantially beyond the legally required employment ratio.

 

To actively implement the government's HR management innovation policy for public institutions, a new "Job-oriented" HR system was introduced to expand openness. It also has newly introduced and is operating a performance-oriented special promotion system, personnel exchanges for collaboration among public institutions and utilization of excellent talent, and open positions for the use of expertise in the private sector.

 

In addition, it has formed an independent Consultative body for regular employee conversion and completed the conversion of non-regular workers to regular workers 100% in 2018, and prepared a personal management system for converted employees, improving the quality of employment by establishing a career path.

 

Finally, it supports the acquisition of about 80 professional qualifications in the field of work, accounting for about 50% of the number of employees every year, by continuously expanding job specialized training to nurture experts in each job field and education according to the required competency of each department and actively runs 14 voluntary learning organizations.
