Held the 10th-anniversary forum for performance diffusion of INNOPOLIS Daegu
- Establishment of future development direction through performance sharing and win-win cooperation system -
INNOPOLIS Daegu (Director Young-Hwan Oh, hereafter referred to as ‘INNOPOLIS Daegu’) held the ‘INNOPOLIS Daegu 10th Anniversary Forum’ at the Tech Sharing Center on the 1st floor of the Daegu Techbiz Center from 2 pm on Thursday, November 4.
As a hub for technology commercialization, INNOPOLIS Daegu celebrated the 10th anniversary of being designated as a special district in January 2011, plays a central role in creating a virtuous cycle innovation ecosystem, from technology discovery to start-up, establishment of spin-off companies, technology commercialization, investment attraction, and global advancement.
This forum, attended by industry, academia, research, and government officials from the Daegyeong area, was prepared to share the footsteps and achievements of the 10th anniversary of INNOPOLIS Daegu and establish a future development direction through a win-win cooperation system between organizations within INNOPOLIS Daegu.
The first speaker of the forum, Jae-Hoon Lee, CEO of iSquare Ventures, gave a presentation under the theme of 'Science and Technology Innovation and Venture Capital.'
ㅇ CEO Jae-Hoon Lee presented the future promising industries according to the development of science and technology and changes in trends, and the direction of innovation and investment attraction strategies.
The second speaker, researcher Byung-Tae Kim of Daegu-Gyeongbuk Research Institute, continued his presentation under the theme of 'INNOPOLIS Daegu and the direction of win-win development of the region.'
Researcher Byeong-Tae Kim said that for INNOPOLIS Daegu to take a new leap forward, regional policies related to science, technology, industry, and members should be integrated to form a virtuous cycle structure of knowledge creation, diffusion, and utilization through active networking with consumers and members, thereby making a substantial contribution to the future development of the region.
Young-hwan Oh, director of INNOPOLIS Daegu said,“Based on the local science and technology-based innovation cluster and industry-academia-institute-government technology innovation network built over the past ten years, INNOPOLIS Daegu will continue to expand technology startups centered on spin-off companies and commercialize the technology of local companies, making further contribution to the vitalization of the local economy.
