□ INNOPOLIS Foundation(Chairman of the board, Yang Sung-kwang, expressed as INNOPOLIS Foundation henceforth) said today that they joined 'Plastic Free Challenge' campaign to reduce plastic waste.

□ 'Plastic Free Challenge' is an environmental cleanup campaign jointly organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature(WWF) and Jeju Pass to protect the environment

ㅇ This campaign goes along by taking a photo of a reusable product, instead of disposable products, to hashtag(#) and post on the SNS, such as Facebook, and by nominating more than next two participants.

□ INNOPOLIS Foundation was nominated by Bae Jung-hee, director of Science and Technology Occupation Promotion Agency(?) to participate in the campaign, and posted the photos of its executives and staff members on the Foundation's homepage and Facebook.

□ Participating this campaign, INNOPOLIS Foundation will plan to change its working environment such as reducing the use of disposable products at major meetings and events, and using recycled products first in public purchases.

ㅇ INNOPOLIS Foundation chose and ran Plastic Free Challenge Campaign Week to promote the participation of all the members of INNOPOLIS Foundation, replace disposable items with mugs and tumblers, and use multi-purpose cups during the visit of civil petitioners.

□ “Our executives and staff members will work together to take the lead in solving environmental problems through this campaign, when public interest and concern are growing to such an extent that the government has declared fine dust as a disaster” said Yang Sung-kwang, Chairman of INNOPOLIS Foundation.

□ Meanwhile, INNOPOLIS Foundation has pointed out Kang Hoon, CEO of Korea Science and Technology Holder and Park Chan-koo, Chairman of Daedeok Innopolis Venture Association(Inc.) as next participating organizations in the campaign.
