INNOPOLIS Foundation Launches New "Deep Tech Innovation Growth Forum" to Celebrate 50th Anniversary!

□ The INNOPOLIS Foundation (Chairman: Byeong-Sam Kang, hereinafter referred to as 'the Foundation') hosted the "Deep Tech Innovation Growth Forum" on Thursday, June 22, at 2 PM at the Expo Science Center (D-SQUARE 973) with over 50 attendees.
ㅇ To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Daedeok Innopolis, the Foundation is launching the Deep Tech Innovation Growth Forum at the Expo Science Center to support the aggregation of innovative resources and facilitate investment and growth for deep tech companies, promising research groups, and investors.
ㅇ Starting with this first forum, the event will be held biweekly on Thursdays at D-SQUARE 973. It will feature investment IR presentations by deep tech startups, research content sharing by leading research centers, and networking with investors.
□ During the 1st Deep Tech Innovation Growth Forum, there were investment IR presentations by four startups in the AI and convergence technology sectors, as well as an introduction to future new industry technologies by the KAIST research team from the ERC (Engineering Research Center)*.
* The forum is planned to be linked with the leading research centers in collective research projects in fields such as Engineering (ERC), Basic Medical Sciences (MRC), Convergence (CRC), and the Global Frontier Research Group.
ㅇ The participating companies for the IR presentations included: △ Peoples League Co., Ltd. (AI meat cooking robot 'Meatbot') △ Elloy Lab Co., Ltd. (AI hyperspectral sensor foreign matter detector) △Wish Co., Ltd. (Vision AI-based real-time 3D markerless motion capture solution) △Lucent Block Co., Ltd. (Blockchain-based real estate revenue securities distribution platform 'Soyou')
ㅇ To review the technological and business potential of the IR companies, 10 investment firms from both the metropolitan and regional areas, including Shinhan Venture Investment, Woori Venture Investment, Kumho Investment Bank, and Korea Science and Technology Holdings, attended the event. Additionally, KAIST ERC's Wearable and Therapeutic Healthcare Engineering Center participated as the leading research center.
ㅇ After the main event, there was a networking session for all forum participants, including IR companies, leading research centers, investors, and related institute officials.
□ Chairman Byeong-Sam Kang of the INNOPOLIS Foundation stated, "We will promote the Deep Tech Innovation Growth Forum as a platform for mega-investments and the creation of excellence in deep tech companies through ultra-regional cooperation.“
□ The Deep Tech Innovation Growth Forum targets startups within 10 years of establishment in the deep tech sector, promising research labs, and investors. Participants can join through online applications (open for continuous registration) for each session.
