- Discussion on Collaboration for Global Technology Commercialization -

□ The Innopolis Foundation (Chairman Byeong-Sam Kang, hereafter "the Foundation") announced that Serbian Ambassador to Korea, Nemanja Grbic, and Counselor Mirko Kuzmanovic visited the foundation on Tuesday, the 17th, to discuss potential collaboration with the Research and Development Special Zone.

 

□ The Foundation introduced the Serbian ambassador and his delegation to the development system and current initiatives for invigorating the innovation cluster within the Research and Development Special Zone. Both parties agreed to strengthen cooperation to promote global technology commercialization through active exchanges between companies and technologies from Korea and Serbia.

 

○ Particularly, the discussion focused on linking Serbia’s interests in nurturing advanced technologies such as biotechnology and AI with the excellent research institutes and universities in the Daedeok Special Zone.

 

○ Moreover, the two sides explored establishing one-on-one cooperative relationships between innovation cluster support organizations in Serbia and the Innopolis Foundation to facilitate the entry of tech startup companies from both countries into the Asian and European markets.

 

○ Additionally, to build a Science & Technology Park (STP) where academia, industry, and research organically collaborate to create value, the Serbian organizations are expected to actively participate in the foundation’s global knowledge-sharing program, K-STP Training (Korean-style Science Park Training).

 

□ Chairman Byeong-Sam Kang of the Foundation stated, "The Foundation will continue to leverage its connections with global resources such as the Serbian Embassy in Korea to ensure that the outstanding technologies of the Research and Development Special Zone find global partners."
