INNOPOLIS Foundation Accelerates the Establishment of a Collaborative Network Among Innopolis Companies!

- Nationwide Research-Based Companies Gather at the “2023 Research-Based Companies Night” -

 

 The INNOPOLIS Foundation (Chairman Byeong-Sam Kang, hereinafter referred to as 'the Foundation') announced that it successfully hosted the "2023 Innopolis Companies Night" on December 12th (Tuesday) at the Lotte City Hotel in Daejeon, in collaboration with the Innopolis Companies Association, Inc. (Chairman Eui-Joong Kim, hereinafter referred to as 'the Association'). The event was attended by over 150 participants, including representatives from Innopolis companies and related institutions.


 The Foundation and the Association have been hosting the "Innopolis Companies Night" since last year to promote mutual growth and development among Innopolis companies and to enhance networking opportunities between them. This year, the event featured an awards ceremony recognizing companies with outstanding achievements in technology commercialization. A total of six companies were selected as "Innopolis Companies of the Year" through a voting process conducted among the Association's member companies.

 

 One Cure Gen Co., Ltd., a bio-company developing new anticancer drugs and the 1000th Innopolis company (CEO Kwan-Young Jang, Daedeok Innopolis), was awarded the "Innopolis Company of the Year Grand Prize" for its achievements, including securing a 34 billion KRW technology contract with Yonsei Medical Center and the Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology. The company received the INNOPOLIS Foundation Chairman's Award.

 

 “Two companies were selected as outstanding businesses in the business category: Genie EduTech Co., Ltd. (CEO Seong-Woong Lee, Busan Innopolis) and MIT Co., Ltd. (CEO Hyun-Soo Jang, Gumi Small Innopolis). In the research category, three companies were awarded the Association Chairman's Award: Genlife Co., Ltd. (CEO Jin-Woo Oh, Busan Innopolis), CRIMO Co., Ltd. (CEO Seok Lee, Hongneung Small Innopolis), and DGM Tech Co., Ltd. (CEO Han-Il Jeong, Daegu Innopolis).

 

 The event proceeded with the awards ceremony, followed by presentations of successful case studies, a report on the Association's activities, and networking sessions. In the case study presentation, Kwan-Young Jang, CEO of One Cure Gen Co., Ltd., shared the company's major achievements and performance, offering insights and suggestions for strengthening collaboration among Innopolis companies.

 

 The Foundation and the Association are committed to planning and operating various networking programs to support the continuous growth of Innopolis companies and the creation of a mutually cooperative ecosystem. They actively support companies in strengthening their capabilities and discovering new B2B collaboration projects by utilizing the Foundation's support systems based on nationwide or regional corporate exchanges.

 

 Chairman Byeong-Sam Kang of the INNOPOLIS Foundation emphasized the importance of creating a private sector-led technology cooperation ecosystem centered on Innopolis companies, stating, "We hope to see the creation of new growth models for technology commercialization based on collaboration." He also reaffirmed the Foundation's commitment to strengthening the Innopolis companies' cooperation network to effectively address technological and industrial challenges and successfully disseminate public R&D achievements.

 

 Additionally, Chairman Eui-Joong Kim of the Innopolis Companies Association, Inc., stated, "The Association will continue to work tirelessly to promote mutual collaboration among Innopolis companies, focusing on data and network consultative bodies."
