INNOPOLIS Foundation Signs Agreement to Utilize New Energy Efficiency Technologies

- Enhancing Building Energy Efficiency through the Demonstration and Application of New Technology from the Korea Institute of Energy Research -
□ The INNOPOLIS Foundation (Chairman Byeong-Sam Kang, hereinafter referred to as 'the Foundation') announced on the 14th that it had signed an agreement with the Korea Institute of Energy Research (President Chang-Keun Lee, hereinafter referred to as 'KIER') on the 13th at the Eco-Building conference room of KIER. The agreement focuses on utilizing new technologies to improve energy efficiency.
○ This agreement was pursued to strengthen cooperation between the Foundation and KIER in enhancing building energy efficiency and bolstering research and development capabilities.
○ Through the agreement, the Foundation will provide its headquarters' lobby and mechanical room as demonstration sites for KIER's new technologies. Over the next three years, the Foundation plans to gradually introduce optimal heating and cooling operation systems and thermal storage devices, leading efforts to improve energy efficiency and reduce building greenhouse gas emissions.
□ Chairman Byeong-Sam Kang of the INNOPOLIS Foundation stated, "In celebration of the 50th anniversary of Daedeok Innopolis, we will further expand our collaboration with government-funded research institutes to support R&D capabilities and promote the commercialization of research outcomes."
