□ The innopolis Foundation (Chairman Byeong-Sam Kang, hereinafter referred to as the "Foundation") announced that it held the inaugural general meeting for the "New Renewable Energy Industry Technology Research Association" on the 30th at the Gwangju Innobiz Center, attended by the Foundation's chairman and representatives of participating companies.
ㅇ At this inaugural general meeting, representatives from 19 energy-related companies and organizations, including the Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute, Korea Institute of Industrial Technology, Korea Electronics Technology Institute, and Korea Institute of Energy Research, attended. They appointed the chairman, elected executives, and finalized the bylaws and business plans to establish the research association.
□ The New Renewable Energy Industry Technology Research Association began as a distributed energy consultative body formed by the Gwangju innopolis Advanced Technology Companies Council and has now been developed into an industrial technology research association.
ㅇ In the future, the "New Renewable Energy Industry Technology Research Association" will focus on △research and development of industries related to the generation, storage, and trading of renewable energy, △introduction and commercialization of advanced technologies, and △improvement of systems and policy suggestions for the industry.
□ Jeong-Ho Yeom, CEO of Green Core Co., Ltd., who was elected as the first president of the research association, stated, "The establishment of the research association has made it possible to plan large-scale R&D projects stably. We hope to secure an economical and sustainable renewable energy infrastructure in industrial complexes through the establishment of smart energy communities and the development of solutions."
□ Chairman Byeong-Sam Kang of the innopolis Foundation said, "The research association can promote privately-led joint research and function as a cooperation window with academic and research experts. We will spare no effort to support the New Renewable Energy Industry Technology Research Association to become an exemplary platform for collaboration between large and small enterprises within the innopolis."
