Korea Innovation Foundation hosted the Daegu Small Hidden Champion INNOPOLIS cooperative network to develop the Daegu-Gyeongbuk area.
- Strengthen the Daegu-Gyeongbuk area’s technology commercialization cooperation system through collaboration between INNOPOLIS innovation actors -

□ Korea Innovation Foundation (Chairman Byung-Sam Kang) held the “2022 Daegu-Gyeongbuk INNOPOLIS 1st Cooperation Network” at the Daegu Startup Campus on the 22nd to strengthen the cooperation system for industrial development and technology commercialization in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk area.

 

□ This event consisted of presentations on establishing a cooperative system for technology commercialization in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk area and cooperation for significant industrial development, and a meeting between Daegu INNOPOLIS and Small Hidden Champion INNOPOLIS (Pohang-Gumi) innovators.

 

○ For the first and second part presentations, Jang Jae-ho, head of Daegu-Gyeongbuk Research Center, gave a presentation on “Strategies for development of major industries in Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk-do and cooperation plans.” Lee Jae-hyeon, director of Daegu University’s Startup Support Group, gave “Cooperation plans based on startup-oriented universities in Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk-do.” A lively Q&A session followed the presentation.

 

○ After that, in the third part, Daegu-Small Hidden Champion INNOPOLIS, an innovation actors, participated in free discussions on cooperation network plans for each core institution in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk area.

 

□ Kang Byung-Sam, President of the Korea Innovation Foundation, said, “This event became a meaningful place for constructive discussions to develop a plan for cooperation in technology commercialization for industrial development in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk area. We believe that it will be an opportunity to strengthen the industry, and we will not save efforts for continuously search for and support for establishing successful cooperative system and major industrial development”.
